Mixed feelings once again~

WootZ!! Today was finally the last day of the first week of attachment.. was really fun, but anyhow, shall update a little about what i went through for the last 2 days of attachments..^^

Went to a GS OR yesterday.. managed to scrub in for one operation!!! It was so so so fun and interesting can!! It's not about me seeing people being opened up right in front of me. But i was really happy that managed to do what a scrub nurse had to do from preparation to intra-op. Seeing through the process of the operation, knowing what the doctors need, knowing what to pass to them, and all these things aint easy at all.

Not as easy i thought sia.. but one thing i was happy about, was that the doctors (including a medical student i think), they really helped me alot along the way.. allowing me to touch the operated side and the younger doctor (probably a medical student, cause he looked so young and good-looking XD), waited for me to move to another side of the operating table to show me the closing of the wound using a staple... But that doctor was super tall, cause as i was standing beside him when i was a scrub nurse, he was so much taller than me even though i was standing on a footstool!! Felt like a shortie!! hahahs!

ANyways, witnessed and helped out as a circulating nurse and did my skills.. and learnt many things as my staffs were very supportive, helped me and showed me loads of things.and i actually got a chance to observe a major operation - Whipples Operation. That was so cool that i didnt wana go for break! hahahas!!!! shiok~

Today was a really fun day sia.. though there was some "disaster" in the morning.. though i left my house on time, i missed my bus. waited for the next bus for 30mins, but no avail. TOok cab to work, den there was a case i couldnt observed because it was a little dangerous and i wasnt under insurance yet. And even after that, there was only 1 surgery, a vascular case!!!!!!! OMG! was a little discouraged la..

but thank again, BENBEN IS THE BEST!!! complained to him and lucky he was there..

Was reallocated to another place by my CI, and observed a few more things. Did a few things as well, and learnt about being organized and clear about what we are doing, especially when we are assisting the surgeons during operations. really learnt alot of things throughout the entire week, really blessed by helpful doctors and staffs, even the anesthetists.. especially, Dr Darren. SUper funny and taught me alot, tested me alot also, chase after me to ask me questions and teach me things..-.-

Hahas!! throughout this week, i have a different thinking about doctors.. find them amazing in some sense.. lols... cause everything looked so complicated and delicate, yet, they can do it so well. most of them taught the student nurses things as we are assisting or just observing the things... and being able to understand more things and their rationales. it has helped me alot in my nursing career, and i think, i would wana work in the operating theatres. mainly on weekdays, and its a specialise place. really interesting! :D:D

Was really tired today,

never think much.. ^^

but wana thank BenBen for being there when i need someone..

And BenBen, please tag when you read ~!!!!!!

Don't care! XD
